The title of this blog comes from two of my favorite verses: Ephesians 1:6 and Hebrews 12:2. The part I love most of Ephesians 1:6 is the phrase, “grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” So much I love about that verse. The second verse, Hebrews 12:2, reads, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross…” (both verses quoted from NASB1995). One of the sweetest moments in my life was when I read Hebrews 12:2 for the umpteenth time and this time Jesus whispered to me, “You are My joy.”
I am what was set before Jesus. I am the reason He endured the cross. Because I’m all that? No, just because of His grace, freely bestowed. How great is our God!
I am the Beloved’s joy.
